Meeting -
Wednesday, at 7:00pm at the Robert E. Papp Building on the main campus of
Catawba Valley Community College (Directions).
Room location will be posted on the main entrance.
Our program for the evening will be presented by Sharon Sigmon and Becky
Martin who have visited most of the US National parks. They will take us to
some of the most obscure parks, and Sharon a skilled flutist, will
incorporate Native American flute music into the presentation. Not to be
missed, so come and join the fun.

Dancing - Join Christie Arney and Allen Miller for an evening of music
and dance at the
Happy Valley Fiddler's Convention 14 miles NE of Lenoir in Happy Valley
(Directions).
Friday's activities include a free community dance starting at 7 pm including
contra, squares, and flatfooting. Musicians will be arriving that evening so
there will be informal jam sessions continuing late into the night. Contact

before the dance so there will be no organized carpools).
The festival continues Saturday from 10:30 am to 11 pm with individual and
group competition, admission is $5 advance and $10 at the gate for Saturday's
activities.
Bringing your own chair is recommended as seating may fill
Sunday will be old time sacred music will be on stage from 10:00
until noon. From noon until approximately 4:00 PM, the stage
will be filled with
local
talent and some special guest performers.
